Itineraries
Marrakech ziplining is an exhilarating way to experience the natural wonders of the city in a different way. Whether you are looking for an outdoor adventure or a new way to take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds you, you are sure to make lasting memories during your visit. The next time you are in Marrakech, take this thrilling experience into account on your travel itinerary so that you do not miss your opportunity to sail through the beautiful area!
Upon reaching the launch site of the zipline you will take in a 360 degree panoramic view of the hills and the surrounding forests. There is palpable anticipation in the air as you are strapped in and given a safety briefing from the extremely good at their job guides. The guides will ensure that you are properly harnessed in for your adventure. Taking a deep breath and trusting in the fact that you are securely harnessed in will be the only thing left to do before launching into the abyss. Once you hop off the next thing you know you are flying through the air like a bird, feeling the wind rush past your face and feeling the rush of adrenaline flow through you as you fly (well zip) over trees and ravines! The zipline courses at Terres d’Amanar have different lengths and levels of difficulty, so everyone from beginners to expert zipliners can enjoy themselves. The longest zipline is over 300 meters long and gives you plenty of time to enjoy the views of the landscape below you as your fly away. Each zipline takes you from one platform to another and you are aloft and suspended high in the air. When zipping you enjoy a sense of freedom (which may or may not be accurate) that you cannot get during any other activity. Zipping is not just another exciting thing to do in Marrakech, although it is an exciting activity, it is also an activity that connects you with nature and allows you to appreciate the special environment of this area. Terres d’Amanar has chosen to incorporate sustainable tourism practices and is very mindful of the effect that their activities have on the local environment. In their sustainable tourism commitment the park is allowing visitors to enjoy adventure while also giving them the assurance that they are contributing positively to conservation.
FAQ
Let’s break it down: you strap into a harness, you’re hanging from a thin wire, and you’re zipping (yes—zipping!) between point A and point B—hopefully, over some incredible scenery. It’s like flying, minus the screaming and chance of being eaten by birds! Think of it as a super fun, nature-focused rollercoaster in the sky! So, if you ever wanted to channel your inner superhero in a jungle, this is your chance.
So, as not to throw a wrench in your plans, Marrakech is not zip line abundant in the medina (surprise!). Most of the fun is a bit outside the city, up in the Atlas Mountains. Adventure parks, beautiful mountain scenery, perhaps some goats in the valley below, in addition to spectacular views type of thing. If you want to re-take your adrenaline high and drink in the Moroccan landscapes, the Atlas region will be your cure. You can find plenty to do in the city and its surrounds, but if zip lining is a priority? Get out of the city!
Ziplining is typically safe when run by reputable operators with a strong safety record that implement strict safety regulations. Additionally, the participant is typically provided with proper safety equipment (helmets, harnesses, etc.) and listen to the instruction of trained professionals.
The best clothing to wear is loose and comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement. Additionally, wear closed shoe for safety for you. Avoid loose clothing/benches/dog tags that may impact the ziplining equipment.
In most cases, the ziplining operators enforce strict company policies on age / weight for safety, but normally participants are at least six years of age from 50 – 250 (23-113 Kg). The age & weight restrictions can vary
You do not need to have prior experience ziplining; the guides will provide everything that you need to know, and will make sure that you are comfortable with the equipment before your first ride.
