Begin our Moroccan journey in the bustling city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, our driver will transfer you to your beautiful riad, where some Moroccan hospitality eagerly awaits you! Spend the afternoon wandering the colorful souks, take in the impressive architecture of the Koutoubia Mosque, and enjoy delicious local dishes at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
Today we will experience the beautiful history of Marrakech on a guided tour of its most well-known sites. We will admire the beautiful Bahia Palace and the Majorelle Garden, with which Yves Saint Laurent was particularly enamored. If you’re still with us when the sun sets, there will be an opportunity to explore Moroccan culture even more deeply with a related, postscript, the Moroccan hammam.
After a leisurely breakfast we will transition completely from the mountains to the beauty of the desert in the Agafay Desert. We will enjoy a camel ride over the soft sand dune landscape, then we will settle in to a comfy tented camp. When darkness comes, we will have a beautiful Moroccan meal under the stars, along with live music and around a campfire with stories.
We advise that towards the end of your Moroccan adventure, you have a relaxed morning in Agafay, followed by a return to Marrakech for further shopping or sightseeing. And then before you leave, reflect on the experiences you had and how you’ll remember and cherish them for years to come.
