Depart Marrakech in the morning for a scenic drive through the Atlas foothills to the village of Agouti. Arrive in the late afternoon and settle into a welcoming guesthouse. Dinner and overnight stay.

Begin your trek from Agouti, ascending through Berber villages and terraced fields before reaching Arous Camp. Overnight in tents.

Trek through rugged mountain landscapes, climbing the Aghouri Pass (3,450m) before descending to the Tarkedit Plateau (2,900m). After lunch at a mountain hut, continue to camp at 3,400m beneath M’Goun West (3,978m). Walking time: 7–8 hours.

Today is summit day! Climb Djebel M’Goun via a panoramic ridge, reaching the summit after 4–5 hours. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Draa Valley and the distant Sahara Desert. Descend to Azib Izabine for overnight camp. Walking time: 8–9 hours.

Continue your trek down the valley into Ain Aflafal, following scenic trails toward Tighermet n’Ait Ahmed. Camp overnight. Walking time: approx. 5 hours.

Climb the Tizi n’Ait Imi Pass (2,960m) before descending into the fertile Ait Bougmez Valley. After lunch, transfer back to Marrakech where your trekking adventure concludes.

The M’Goun Trek is rated moderate to challenging. It requires good physical condition as daily walking ranges from 5–9 hours, with steep ascents and descents, including climbing to 4,068m.

Previous mountain trekking experience is helpful but not essential. A good fitness level and determination are enough to complete the trek.

The highest point is Djebel M’Goun at 4,068m. Camps are usually set between 2,900m and 3,400m. While altitude may cause mild effects, the gradual ascent helps acclimatization.
