Casablanca day tours are great for travelers seeking a variety of activities in a convenient manner and give visitors a memorable snapshot of Morocco’s largest city.
So, let’s start our Casablanca Day Tours at the breathtaking Hassan II Mosque, rising gracefully above the Atlantic coast. Located right along the Atlantic Ocean, this architectural marvel boasts ornate mosaics and a tall minaret that extends several stories out of the city skyline. Once we take in the mosque’s beauty, let’s take a stroll along the Corniche, the beautiful seaside promenade in Casablanca. Here, we can take in the coastal breeze and possibly get a coffee at one of the numerous cafes that line the water. The Corniche allows us to relax, and, again, gives us an idea of the city’s lifestyle.
After the Corniche, let’s visit the Habous Quarter (commonly, New Medina). This wonderful area explores both traditional Moroccan architecture and some French colonial style. We can wander through the slim streets packed with artisanal shops and busy markets, including countless stalls with spices to various handmade items. The Habous Quarter is also a good option to try a local treat or two at one of the street food stalls. For lunch, how about Rick’s Café, a restaurant inspired by the iconic movie “Casablanca”? This charming restaurant pays homage to the Hollywood glamour while serving up delightful food.
After lunch, we will launch into the Museum of Moroccan Judaism and firstly learn about the rich cultural history of Morocco. The museum has a really good collection of pieces clearly displaying the significance of the historic presence and contributions of Jewish communities which have been resident within Morocco.
We will likely finish the Casablanca Day Tours with a shopping experience at Anfa Place Mall or Morocco Mall. Again, this will be an optional shopping experience, but definitely a unique opportunity for those who may be interested in participating or experiencing the modern contrast of the retail scene in Casablanca.
Dinner, again not booked or included, will be at a full restaurant, with the convenience for our visitors to experience a modern savory twist on exquisite Moroccan cuisine.
